His statement on Instagram “Man it's been an amazing 10 years w @etniesskateboarding and it really saddens me to type this right now but my time with @etnies has come to an end. I wish nothing but the best for the future of the brand and what they wish to accomplish moving forward. To everyone there, past and present you are all amazing individuals that I'm greatful to have had the pleasure of working with. Once again best wishes to everyone.

Skate shoe business is super niche and highly competitive. AFAIK, New Balance (NB) is on the rise as well. I wonder if NB is going to take up Joslin’s brand?? Wish I could’ve known the inside details but for now I’ll keep guessing that it was about low sales/income. I wish Etnies would bring back some of their super stylish clothing wear; back in 2016-2019 I went hard on buying direct from their site; I got this really stylish olive green light long coat meant for the rain and cool weather, a pineappleXetnies tank top, a bunch of raglan style long sleeve Ts, and of course so many pairs of Michelin Maranas and Joslin Maranas… and so much more. I had to be aggressive because they would be out of stock within a few weeks of publishing it!! I wonder how the Etnies company is doing these days.
