Two Ottawa Skaters Who Put Canada on the Map
Spencer Hamilton and Wade Desarmo both came up out of Ottawa and cut their teeth in an era when Canadian skateboarding wasn't getting much shine on the world stage. That changed fast. Between their parts in Top Dollar and years of clips that skaters still talk about today, Spenny and Wade D became two of the most recognizable names to ever come out of Canada.
There's a photo floating around of the two of them skating Warped Tour in Ottawa back in 1999 — Spenny was just 10 years old, Wade D was 14. It's a good reminder of how long these two have been putting in work, and how much history this collection is actually built on.
The Boards: An Ode to the Toonie
The collection features two decks, and the graphics lean straight into Primitive's signature foil work. This time, the inspiration is the Toonie — Canada's two dollar coin, released back in February 1996. If you've ever held one, you know the design: a gold center locked inside a silver ring, with a polar bear stamped on the back. Primitive took that concept and ran with it, turning a piece of everyday Canadian currency into a genuinely unique board graphic.

Rounding out the collection is a Primitive x Mehrathon t-shirt that ties the whole project together.
